Default Can't adjust door strike plate...

Anyone know how to adjust the inset of the door strike? My passenger door needs to close about another 2 mm. Not much, but enough that it doesn't sit quite flush with the rear quarter panel like the drivers side door does.

So I loosned the strike plate, but it would not budge after loosening the bolts. Next I removed the strike plate altogether. The holes are oversized like you expect and you can clearly see the plate behind the door frame and its clearly off center by about....oh 2mm But unlike other cars I've done this with, the plate behind the frame will not budge.

Is there some sort of internal screw adjustment that moves it? Do I need to remove the inside panel to adjust it? I realize this a long shot asking here, but I'm hoping someone has done this on this forum some time the last 10 years.

Are you sure that it is the striker plate that needs adjustment and not the door?

Yes. Done it many times before on other cars. If it was not flush at the fender and front of the door, the door would need adjusting, but it's the rear of the door where it sits flush next to the rear quarter panel. Either the strip plate or the latch in the door needs to be adjusted but the door latch doesn't appear to be adjustable while the strike backing plate that the strike screws into is clearly separate from the rest of the body.
