Angry Stranded!

Last Saturday, the SC left my girlfriend and her friends stranded. The car wouldn't start. Had to have it towed to the dealer on Sunday. Monday morning, the dealer told me it is the fuel pump. Of course that is a special order item so its gonna take about 12 business days for the pump to arrive and a couple more for installation. That leaves me without the SC for three weeks. Just when the weather on Guam is getting perfect for the drop top. Got an '03 RX to drive around inthe interim.

Anyone else have this problem?

Default " . . . and her friends . . . "

Just how many folks did she have in that car? Maybe that's why the fuel pump gave up.

You should ask the dealer to put through the order as a "V.O.R." (vehicle off road). If they do this, the part will ship overnight.

Insist that the dealer do this. Good luck !

tfischer - 3 and I don't think it had anything to do with the problem.

Larry, is this true? I'll ask my service mgr. Thanks for the tip.

ceboyd, the RX is the loaner. Not a bad vehicle.

Yuo O2, it's true. When you mention this, the parts /service guy may look surprised. Not many "civilians" know about this.

By the way, if you request, the dealer should NOT charge you s premium for the shipment. VOR's are paid for by the dealership and reimbursed by the manufacturer.

If they give you some BS excuse as to why theyt can't, don't beleive them. In your case, the car really off the road.

Hey CE, where you been buddy ? Where's Ed also ?
