Default air cleaner part question???

I need to know the function or name of the part below. I have included a picture from the Sewell Lexus parts department, the part number is 90910-12223 made by Denso, this came from the part in my car. As you can see every part is numbered except the one I circled, I have also searched the internet and did not find any results. Thank you

Our cars doesnt have an EGR. That is the Closed Canister Valve (Vent). It's a solenoid and has a vacuum line from the charcoal canister that connects to that solenoid you got in the pic.

Wow- just want to say that even my local dealer can't find the part in their catalogs. I am taking the car in tomorrow so they can visually inspect it.

So, the only reason this has become a big issue for me is that I installed a short ram air intake and this piece is just floating since it does not have a secure place on the intake tube. My concern was, if it goes bad I need to replace it, how much will it be?

If you look on the part, the part number is just below the Toyota name (if you look at your picture upside down). (The glare is hiding some of it and the bend is hiding some at the end in the picture.) It looks like it is 9091??-1222?? maybe?

I'd recommend calling or emailing Sewell parts department about it. They are usually very good about answering your questions. It is odd that the part doesn't show up on the Sewell or Park Place websites (I just checked). Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Without it connected aren't you getting CELs related to evap emissions system?

What's the name of that place with used SC parts ... Viper? or something like that. Snag a used one off a wreck.

I went to my local dealer and they said it was part of the whole air box. I did not think that was correct but who am I to question an trained mechanic.

I removed it from the box and it is installed on the short ram air intake, but it just hangs there. Air intake has been on the car for about a year now and no CELs or other issues. Great sound when I take off...

That crazy part is no longer made by Lexus/Toyota as far as I can find. Mine broke when replacing all the vacuum hoses (to get rid of 0442 engine check light). Someone on E-bay sold 6 of them used for $175, because they must have found this weak spot.

Use Dorman 911-606 for $28. The electrical connector fits perfectly but electrical connector is not in the ideal position but there should be enough slack.

Alternatively, you can modify the valve by loosening the crimp and the metal case & connector will slide radially to a more favorable position. However, you will also have to modify the mounting bracket that will slide with it. I ground my bracket off and made a removable bracket much like a pipe clamp.
Engine check light gone!
