Will Stock Navigation Work with Aftermarket Headunit?
Hi guys,
So I'm getting an aftermarket headunit installed, would the stock navigation system still work but just without the sound? And what do I need if I want the aftermarket headunit to use the stock touchscreen for playing videos? Thanks!!

Thanks VVTiBob!! Actually I read your thread before I post this question. But because I am planning to use aftermarket amps, I donno if the navigation will still work, and donno if I need to retain the ML amp for it to work. I should've ask more clearly :P Well after I posted this question, my plan of the setup has changed a million times. Now I'm planning to change to a aftermarket HU with nav, I will be gutting the ML amp and nav computer out. And I also tested the stock open and close button for nav screen that it will not work without the headunit. So after reading a thread about an installer taking out a piece of circuit board from the stock HU, and also reading the reply from Beat Sonic Sam Cho, in order to keep the open and close function for nav screen and HU cover, the Beat Sonic MVA-12L will do the trick and the ML amp and nav computer has nothing to do with the open and close function. Now back to the drawing board again for my entertainment system
