Default Upgrading headunit w/ Aftermarket Nav....

Car: 2001 Lexus GS430
Question: Is it possible to upgrade a Mark Levinson headunit without Navigation to an aftermarket Eclipse Navigation system. The car is not in my possession yet but will be in a couple of weeks and I want to have a game plan for this project. What would I need to do to make this happen. Will I have to rewire everything? Will the amps still operate with the Eclipse navigation unit? Thanks for all the feedback people.

I too, want to install aftermarket nav in my GS. I want to DIY too.
Which Eclipse model you looking for? I like 5510 which comes with built-in amp.

anything is possible, it just takes extra work. if you plan on keeping the remainder of the audio system you will have to find a way to bypass or integrate the factory amp.
