Default Slammed SC Experts please!

Hi,

So my SC is test fitting the wheels and here are the photos. Did you guys shave or rolled the fenders? And did you guys use the heat gun for the plastic wheel wells or just remove the plastic wheel wells? Thanks!!!

more specifics on your wheels/tire specs would help better. and also depends how aggressive you want to go.

Thanks IcEnPinKi!! I want the wheels to fit without rubbing, with minimal cost

Suspension: H&R lowering springs -1.2" front and back, SAGE 30mm RCAs front and back

Wheels/tires: 20" staggered Volks Racing GT-Force.
Front wheels are 20x9.5 with +25 offset (with 255/30/20 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 tires)
Rear wheels are 20x10.5 with +27 offset (with 285/30/20 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 tires)

Question really is.. do you know where its rubbing? Those tire specs are pretty beefy but you should be able to get away with it (barely). I really recommend 275/30s for the rear. Rolling your fronts is going to be a must looking at your set up. Without a roll you will do fine going straight (its the turns that will kill you).. as for rears.. if your tires clear the quarter panel lip you can heat or cut the plastic lining.. To be honest, I'm not sure heating will do the trick. I had a similar set up to begin with. My specs were 245/35/20 on a 9 +24 and 275/30/20 on a 10.5 +30 my fronts were rolled and my front and rear linings were trimmed.(no rub in the rear).

Just my 2cents.. Hope this helps..

LET ME ADD... Some may disagree with me but.. I don't recommend rolling or trimming the rears. Although you shouldn't need it.. I'd go to a body shop if its a must. Again, that's just my opinion.

Thanks gottagitmines!! We decided to adjust the camber first and then go from there to see if fender roll is needed or not. We've crossed the idea of removing the wheel wells, because it will expose the back of the headlights and all the grime and rain can get to it, so trimming is most likely.

Thanks gripau1! I still don't have photos of the wheels with the cap covers on yet, coz the lug nuts I got are too long for the rears. Here are some updates for my SC:

Driver's front (look towards rear) - Trimmed wheel liners and rolled a little

Driver's front (look towards front)

Driver's rear (look towards rear) - Shaved fender and trimmed wheel liners

Driver's rear (look towards front)

Close up of the bolt on the driver's rear fender. After test driving, the rear tires are rubbing against these bolts when driving thru the dips on the freeway. Going to shave off this bracket and bolt.

Driver's front SAGE 30mm RCA

Driver's rear SAGE 30mm RCA

Driver's rear H&R lowering spring with stock shocks

So after driving the SC for a day, came to conclusion the suspension is too soft and the front is too low. Rubbing when hard braking, turning at traffic light in normal driving speed, going thru dips on freeways, it's fine when driving on freeways and roads with no dips, in parking lots, thru speed bumps. So ordered megan coilovers, we'll see how it turns out

wow...nice ride...although I wouldn't have gone to the extreme of trimming the liner like that...cuz as you said, road grime will get in there and then corrosion will start....i suggest getting a spray type rust proofer in the exposed areas.
