Default Climate control secret menu???

Hi all. Today I noticed something on my sc430 that I have never seen before. I got tired of always having to switch my air flow from recirculate to fresh air every time I started the car. I figured that there must be a way to keep the air mode on outside air regardless of temperature? I was playing around and held the recirc/auto/fresh button down for a few seconds and a setting type menu popped up on the display of the climate control.

Does anyone know what this does??? It looks like it wants a number value to be entered?

Pg 158 in the 2002 owner's manual. It's to change the sensitivity of the sensor switching between the RECIRCULATED and OUTSIDE AIR in the AUTOMATIC mode.

the factory default setting is "recirculate". In order to change that, you have to take it to the dealer. They change the setting thru the CBEST. They hook up their hand held computer to the OBDII port to do the change. I'm glad my previous owner already changed to fresh air setting when I bought the car.

If this is controlled via C-BEST, then what is the purpose of the menu the original poster wrote about? I'm confused a bit. Thanks.
