Climate System Default -- Fresh Outside Air
When the car is started it seems the default climate setting is recirculating air so everytime you want fresh outside air coming in and not recirculated air you have to hit the switch. Is this correct? Can it be changed? I live were it's 60 in the winter and 75 in the summer so I don't use the AUTO control and set the temperature. I just want fresh outside air in the car most of the time. The recirculating air is stifulling and having to hit the switch each time is a PITA.
I agree it is annoying but I havent been able to find a way to change it. The thing is no matter what setting you leave it on, the car closes the vent right after you shut off the engine, i guess to prevent outside smells from coming into the vehicle.
have dealer change LPS setting for Auto Recirc to OFF.
Default is ON. and what setting it lands on when the car is started depends on outside temperature and differential with inside temperature.

I have never been charged for LPS for the life of the vehicle. But yes, it does say in writing that you get free changes to LPS at the 1000 service, and after that you pay. But I dont see why they would be so petty as to charge for that

Don't know if the dealer can change it, but if you leave your front defroster on it won't recir the air it will blow fresh air with the same outside temp to the windshield.
