Default Got Nitrous?

Hello, well I'm strongly considering adding some nitrous just for fun from time to time. I have a good understanding of what needs to be done, but I need someone who has done it to guide me into a couple of things:

1. Since our cars have that electronic throttle system, how/where do you tap into the TPS signal for WOT. Which wire is it, where can I find it, whats the best way to tap into, etc....just any type of useful information I may need.

2. Same thing for the fuel line...Im assuming you tapped into the fuel rail....if so, could u explain exactly how you did it. What I should look out for? Best way to do it?

And of course, any other recommendations, tips, do's and do not's, kit recommendation, etc greatly appreciated.

Please only reply if u know what Im talking about, and save any "why put nitrous on a Lexus" speech.

Thanks!

i have 4 small bottles in mine, but its also a different kind of animal. as for the tap, its before the throttle controller (that black box with all the wire before the intake manifold) and just sprays through the intake

IM curious ...what type of set up do u have?

Also, why did you use the Throttle Positioning Sensor to tap for the WOT signal?
Also, what cable specifically did you tap into? Any pics? or perhaps what color the cable is?

Oh and what about the fuel tap? Are your running a dry system or wet?

Thanks!

Are you going to run nos for leisure or racing/track purposes?

If its a leisure setup I personally would stay away from taping into the fuel rail, its going to cost you more and generally be more complicated because any setup like that will have to be custom.
My suggestion would be to inject it somewhere along the intake manifold, but I only have limited experience with nos, and a pro might say otherwise.

As for which wire you should tap into, if you know anyone with a alldata, mitchells, or a factory repair manual they should be able to tell you what wire it is you need to tap into. All those programs/books have a wiring diagram for the whole car.

I just remembered something, if you take a look at my link where I installed a SAFC on my car, I had to tap into the throttle position sensor, so you can tap into that line, just take a look at my old post.

I would appreciate it if you post up what you end up with and the parts you used, I'd be interested in this kind of setup also

If you take a look at your ECU #24P is the TPS wire

Im doing this just for fun/leisure ... these cars are too heavy for anything else....

Well yes, I see that taping the fuel rail is gonna be way too hard. I thought these cars had a service plug on the rails that could be removed (to attach fuel pressure measuring equipment) but turns out they don't, so Im just going to have to tap the fuel line. On the drivers side of the engine bay (on top) I found about 6 inch fuel hose that I could tap into, but Im going to get under the car to see if maybe theres a longer piece there.

As far as the TPS wire you used for your SAFC I dont think its the same (and I dont know what signal exactly that gray wire gives), but I basically need a a wire coming into the TPS signaling Wide Open Throttle.... after researchign for a while I found this link

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...e-by-wire.html

HEre someone that had the SC430 used nitrous and tapped into the brown wire on the TPS, so I jsut need to confirm this is correct.

So thats pretty much where Im at, everyhting else is just running a few grounds and power wires...well and an acc source which I think I can get off the radio.

If I get it done I will do a write up on it, I think it would be useful to the forum. I know many people have done it but no write ups and no detailed information available that I was able to find.

Thanks for the reply though!
