Question SC430 navi screen problems.

Hello I have a 2002 430 and after having it serviced the Navigation screen will no longer tilt or close. Wanted to know if there is a fix for this without going to dealer as they have done nothing but lie to us since we bought the car and it usually leaves with more problems than when it went in. Thank you for any help.

Is it being serviced by a Lexus Dealer ? If so call corperate. If not go to a Lexus Dealer.

it has been serviced by a Lexus dealer and the last time it was there was for a failed traction control computer and we went to pick it up and they said the entire dash was dissassembled and we arrived 5 minutes later to find an asemble car that upon driving home found the only thing on the dash that worked was the steering and they claimed a mistake "could have been made" when putting it together so we took it back again and they charged us to take it apart again and put it together right so since then we've steered away from Lexus and after that incident is when the screen stopped working and they said we would have to pay to have the dash taken apart again to fix the problem even though it happened while they were working on it. So a home fix would be nice to have.

I would call Lexus Corporate. You would be surprized how fast they can fix this.

I agree with mrblister. Lexus corp doesn't like negative press and they expect their dealers to do a bang up job, not a job that bangs things up.

I'd agree with this as well - appalling job to take it apart, put it back and then charge for getting it wrong!

I'm English, we hardly ever complain but I'd rant over this one !!
