How Fast Do SC430 Windows Open & Close?

I have noticed that one of my windows open and close at a much faster rate than the other. If I press both of the 'open window' buttons at the same time I notice one window opens and closes substantially faster than the other. I feel almost like the windows struggle when they go up or down, but the movement itself seems smooth.

With the roof up, they also make a rubbing noise when they reach the top (when they are closing), but I think that's from the window making contact with the rubber on the top of the roof, likely unrelated to the speed issue.

Can anyone try this out in their SC430 and tell me if they experience the same issue?

I own a 2006 SC and both windows go up and down at the same rate, around 4 seconds. No rubbing noise.

If the rubbing noise happens as the window is nearing the topped out or closed position, it's a dirty seal. Had the same issue early this year. The dealer took it apart, cleaned it and all is well. Regarding window speed they should be very close, time wise. If not, could be window regulator wearing out or a poor ground connection.

Bob, which of the window seals did they clean? Do you happen to know the process they used to clean them?

There is one along the bottom of the window, and several up on top where the window meets the roof.

The dealer quoted $110 for the lower window seal, and about $60 for upper seals per seal plus $180ish for labor per seal (I am not about to pay that)

They cleaned the bottom seal and did it for no additional charge while the car was in for its 60K service, which is a substantial one.

Bob, by chance you don't happen to know what they used or how they actually cleaned the bottom seal (did they remove the door panel?)

I am hoping to do this on my own, thus any information you can provide will be of great value.

Sorry I was not there when they did it, and they did not offer the info. I know they did not take the interior door panel off because I have some LED strips they would have disturbed if they did.
Regrets

I have noticed the windows only make the rubbing noise when it is cold out, under 50 degrees f. when its warmer the noise is not present.

I wonder if this can help the troubleshooting?

My passenger side window is about 30% slower up and down than my driver side (the rear windows move at the same speed). It started slowing down almost a year ago. I'm taking my car to the Lexus Dealer Friday and they said they'll adjust it. I will find out the specifics on what they do and will post the results afterwards.
