Cool 430sc headlight washers stuck in a loop!

Hello to everyone! I知 new to the Lexus forum and I知 looking for some help to a problem. I bought a used 2002 430 sc Indigo Ink Pearl last year and have been very pleased with the vehicle. Last night after I returned home the headlight washers began to come on run through its cycle about every five minutes. I tried the button for the washers and had no success getting it to shut off. I then disconnected the battery for about ten minutes and as soon as connected the battery back it went into its cycle again. Has anyone had this problem or can anyone point me in the right direction to an answer?

I have almost the same car but I've never heard of that problem!

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Off the top of my head, sounds like the button has and is malfunctioning. Realizing you said tried the button, but does it look or feel to be stuck in the depress position?

VVTiBob I can't feel any difference in the button at all. I can’t feel it engage or disengage at all. It only feels like a spring loaded button.

It is just a momentary button. It will just feel "springy" when pressed.

Yep, as Bon mentioned it should depress and pop back when you lift your finger. I took a look at the electrical wiring schematic, thinking you might be able to pop out a fuse, but no luck there. The circuit its on powers other components.

The wiring information I have shows a dedicated 30A fuse in the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment toward the firewall. Check the fuse information in the owner's manual - it's fuse #57 - labeled H-LP CLN. From what I can tell from the schematic it doesn't power anything else. If you can't end your problem any other way you might pull that fuse for temporary relief.

Default Headlight washer malfunction

I have the problem that the washers just randomly spray the headlights. Took the fuse out to stop but now my windshield washer doesn't work. I have a 2004 RX 330 that has been excellent until this.
