Default Leather bubble on the package shelf

I noticed the other day that there was a pancake sized area of leather on the package shelf that has separated from the backing. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I was thinking about cutting a small slit in the middle of the opening, spraying some adhesive inside and pressing the leather back down.

Don't slice it, it will never be the same.

Take it to (or call) an interior shop and ask them how much to repair it. It might need to be heated, they might have a way to inject something, maybe they'll go in from the backside. Slicing it open is forever - that would be my last option.

I had one for 2 years (bubble in the back seat shelf). Last week I decided to work on it... It was gone. I mean you can't even tell where it was at. I suspect my wife had left it parked in the sun and it became adhesive again and shrank and stuck. So, with that experience, I would try leaving it out one of these hot days or use a hair dryer on it long before I would slit it.

Gl and keep us informed as I think this may show up again.

One developed on my shelf.....I accessed the back side by putting the top down and stopping before that shelf was in place.....I then very carefully drilled a couple holes through the plastic/backside for the air to except the bubble. A little rubbing with my thumb.... Wal-la, bubble gone.

I wonder if a tiny needle would work.. I don't really want to drill any holes

Using a very small drill through the backside of the plastic shelf, into the bubbled area prevents a puncture of the leather and prevents bubble from reforming. I did considered a small needle or the corner of a razor blade. good luck.
