Next gen SC: hardtop or soft-top or fixed coupe?

Next gen SC: hardtop or soft-top or fixed coupe?
A lot of people on the forums have noted that they don't want a soft-top SC.
But if you look at the most sporty cars on the road that compete with the SC (Jaguar XK, Audi A6, BMW 6-Series, etc...), none of them sport a hardtop, with the exception of the SL-Class which is a "benchmark" with multiple engine and special edition variants. Even certain supercars such as Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley, and Aston all sport ragtops with their coupes.
WHY? Because it saves a lot A LOT of weight, and helps the car be more sporty. Also, we have to think about costs and profitability, because these cars do sell in relatively low numbers.
I'm thinking like a purist. I recall the first gen SC, and how performance oriented it was. But I am also thinking like an elitist ( ). I love the second gen SC and how luxurious it is, albeit sacrificing performance for comfort.
So, with the next gen SC coming in a couple of years, which would you prefer?
Should the SC go back to its sportier roots but with a soft-top option? Perhaps a coupe only version? Or should it stay less sporty, more luxurious; and provide a softer ride for those who doesn't seek performance?
How about the IS-C? How does this affect the next gen SC? If the IS-C F is planned as a brute V8 hardtop, how will that affect the image and sales of the next SC?
DISCUSS.

or you know what.... if they can put into production a hardtop like that of the LF-C then hard top convertible please (But I still insist the SC-F should be coupe only).

after enjoying my hard-top convertible all this time, i wouldn't even consider buying a soft-top convertible.
coupe is a nice option, but i don't need my SC to be boy-racer fast so the extra 400lb for the convertible is no biggie. i like it as it is: luxurious touring convertible. for the volume of SC's sold, it's probably not cost-effective to make 2 body styles.

my next mid-life car/toy is a hard-top convertible and the choices out there are very slim
Phil, since we are on the subject of the next SC, I want to start a new thread for "WHAT DO WE WANT FOR THE NEXT SC" thread?
Do you want to make this thread to include this also?
