Is there a discount for Sewell on line parts?

Thanks,

Yes, you have to register again even if you had an account before. At the end of the registration, specify that you are a Club Lexus member and discounts are automatic when you pay.

It appears that everything is not discounted 10% like it was before, but some things get more than a 10% discount?

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/

Just noticed that, for CL members, they are selling floor mats for $99.60, 2009 Navi disks for $193.20, and the spare tire set-up for $367.07.

There are pretty significant savings for Club Lexus members, especially for bigger items, such as the LED tail light set ($1,045.61 as opposed to the regular price of $1,41.62).

The CL price just comes up automatically, which is very handy, as you can instantly see what kind of price break you get for simply being a CL member. I don't think we'll find prices much better than this. I've never seen floor mats below $100.00 for our cars, but they have them now for CL members.

OUCH! 2006+ tail light set was $890 about two months ago when I was at the parts desk getting ready to buy mine! YIKES! Gotta pay for the new site somehow, right?

Whoa...thanks for catching that. It remains to be seen how Sewell's old online store (with the 10% discount on ALL items for CL members) will ultimately compare with the new. Thus far, it appears that things are not always what they seem.

Echoing above, once you re-register with them and submit your Club Lexus username info, then the discounts will show up on each product page individually.

Some prices definitely changed, I noticed what scdroptop did as well. There WAS - but no longer is - any discount for Club Lexus people on the OEM Complete Spare Tire Kit, it's priced the same as other online places now. A bummer, as that is an item of frequent interest here.

Now they are saying to use promo code "SC430SPARE" at checkout for the spare tire kit. No word on how we're supposed to keep up with all these things.

They posted that code in response to a member's request that a discount wasn't showing up. Not all their SC430 products are in their new system so they did it to take care of that member's problem.

You mean the code will eventually not be necessary....it will show up automatically? If that's the case, that's fine, but why not just fix it now...where the discount shows up automatically instead of issuing a code?

Everyone had to re-register on the site. It just seems to me it was a waste of time if we are again going to have to know codes for discounts.

In the past, if you weren't privy to knowing some code that was posted on some long lost thread on CL 18 months ago, you didn't get the discount. Re-registering as a CL member should have taken care of that problem, but now that we're told that codes will still exist for "some" products, it's back to the same thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really not complaining. I appreciate a discount however I can get it. But this seems to be deja vu all over again instead of sticking with the new system as it was designed.

That is my understanding (I don't work for them of course, so just what I've read from them elsewhere on CL). Once you've registered and identified yourself as a CL member / linked your username the discount should show up automatically in the future.

I've read they are still loading all the parts and prices to set up the appropriate discounts and get all the parts in. No more discount codes needed once that done (unless they set up a special group buy or something).

The forum discount takes another $100 off the price of the spare tire kit with the code "SC430SPARE" listed above, so it comes out to about $630 + shipping.
