Default Creaking Noise Going Over Bumps

I currently have a 2004 SC430 and was wondering if any of you guys have any problems while going over bumps and hearing a squeaking/creaking noise?

The noise is only present when I'm going over bumps, as I believe they have something to do with the suspension?

Could use some advice and anything I could do or have a mechanic do to get rid of the noise. Thanks!

(ITS REALLY BUGGING ME! )

Thanks martini3 for the threads!

Sorry I didn't use the search button :P

Hmm could they be the roof? How can I figure out if its the roof that's making the creaking noise and not the suspension? While driving it, I think it's coming from the wheel, but I could be mistaken.

Any other insights on the situation?

My 04 Jade creaks like crazy going over bumps.. it is the roof for sure..I know, cause it does not do it when the top is down!

Sounds like your struts. But there are a lot of things that cause similar sounds.

Try going to a parking lot with a speed bump. Drive over the bump slowly at an angle -- so that each wheel goes over the bump at a different time. This is what the mechanics at my dealer do to isolate the noise.

Is the creaking coming from the front of your car?

Had a similar problem. There's a high probability that it's actually your hood causing the creaking. Try raising the rubber hood stops to lift your hood.

Read this thread for more info:

Here's a pic of the hood-stops locations (thanks talwang.)

You'll be able to tell by the sound of the hood closing how snug your settings are.

I tried adjusting those and I still here a creaking/rattle noise. I can't tell if it is the tops fault because when I have the top down I can't hear the noise due to the wind lol.
