you would have to see them in person. photos don't tell the whole story. there's a big difference in quality and craftsmanship. autocouture makes some of my favorite wheels. they can be insanely expensive. but they're beautiful to look at. a good analogy would be to compare a poster to fine fine piece of art. the poster my be pretty. but it won't take your breath away.

Hey SCDROPTOP, wish I could have seen the look on the Infinity salesman's face when you told him about your Verde Kaos wheels !! You have to be the SC wheel authority on CL !! Congrats on your knowledge base, when do you have time to do your real job ??

Yeah, see that would get me every time if I could experience it, I never have---but for me if they are chrome, don't rust, don't flake or bend, look good over time ,etc to me what else do you want out of a wheel? They just get dirty and curb rashed anyway, you know? For me, it's hard to justify the difference UNLESS autocouture or giovanna or lexar or whatever made a wheel that no one else did. Mesh style wheels are made by 500,000 manufacturers. Good for me.

I can make the debate and speak intelligently about rolex watches because I've seen inside them and seen what goes into making one and been there as they disect one of mine to fix and appreciate the complexity and craftmanship much like Lexus vehicles and my favorite Hangar One Vodka. Can't speak on craftmanship and dependability on different wheel manufucters and price points because as I said earlier, unless they are making a truly unique wheel or bad *** style that no one else does, and you can prove they are more durable/longer lasting/better performing--I WOULD BE ALL OVER IT! In fact, maybe if they could make your car faster or lighter or something more objective I would bite on it. Maybe I need to see your autocoutures.

tromly-the look on the salesman's face was priceless even more when I shared with him how much I got my verde kaos for and he told me what their cost for the Giovanna's were. Unreal! It's like the a/c cabin filter for that FX...I can buy it at the dealer for $90. They will install for $30. OR...I can buy it on eBay for $15 and install myself for free in two minutes or less.

SCDROPTOP let me share one of my father's favorite quotes.

There is no such thing as $5000 a night hookers, just $5000 dollar a night johns.

Once again thanks for everyone with their inputs.
I'm definitely not a chrome guy. I got a company truck, Chevy Silverado which happened to come with a chrome package and even that was too much for me. Just not my taste...

like scdroptop mentioned, by going with a stock alternate wheel if I'm guaranteed for a less hassle with the fitment, nuts....etc I think that's the route I want to take. Question I have is though... what other line would fit SC430? I've been one local SC with a RX wheel and it looked pretty sweet. I'm not opposed to putting 06+ SC430 stock rims either. How about IS? GS? Can anyone comment?

I don't know about the chrome wheels, they all look the same to me. wahaha

It is the non-chrome version of the same wheel tells the most difference even in pics.
For example, this is one of my favorite wheels, 20" Leon Hardiritt Orden.
Try ebay to see if you can find any cheap rims that have the same quality and design.

I am not saying all the cheap rims are bad in quality. Some are really good for the money.
Just do your homework well beforehand, so you won't regret buying them.

Although I do believe RX and ES wheel bolt patterns would work, I wouldn't recommend based on offsets and width...they are typically narrower wheels.

IS wheels have been documented success on SC wheels, and they have a staggered set up already.

GS wheels fit as well.

The 07+ LS wheels would fit, but not as wide so not very aggressive.

mine aren't autocouture. they're work. which is a nice wheel. but autocouture is another step up. high end wheels do have some advantages other than looks. they do tend to be lighter. mine are surprisingly light for a full face wheel. and they tend to stay true better than cheaper wheels.

wear and tear is a valid perspective. i bought mine used, so they already had a little minor wear. so i'm not too worried about the inevitable wear. the way i look at it, my car is bound to get rock chips and minor scratches. but that's not enough to make me go out and buy an accord
