Very Cool! The same thing would work for turning off the VSC and TRAC mode on every start up. You would just need 12 volts and tap into a wire on the VSC switch which is easy to do. An on-off-on switch hidden in the arm rest could be wired to select either 1) auto-snow or 2) auto-VSC disable or 3) do nothing.

You have lots of interesting DIY mods, but most of us don't have your skill and knowledge to do it.

On the one or two rare occasions that I have had the car out in snow or slippery conditions, I have found that the "snow" button seems to have no effect at all on handling or traction. I don't think it's even connected to anything.
For the most part, my snow plan is just to leave it in the garage and drive the RX with 4 wheel drive.

AFAIK all it does is limit the lower gear to #2 or #3 instead of #1 thereby reducing torque to the rear wheels.

I heard from toyota engine engineer that snow mode makes gas pedal responce loosely, slowly, generously or gently.
It is just fit me not only snow condition but also dry surface.
Gently start : No care for gas pedal operation for smooth start.
