Default Cruise Control

I just purchased a 2006 with very low mileage. One thing that I noticed was that you really have to press the brake pedal hard to disengage the cruise control. On my 2002 you just had to tap it lightly, hardly noticeable at all. Which is normal?

The brake light switch is the signal to kill the cruise control. This switch is adjustable. You have to be a bit of a contortionist because the switch is at the top of the brake pedal stem. Just loosen one of the jam nuts and back off one nut while tightening the other. It's trial and error as you'll have to just press on the brake pedal while watching your brake lights to get it the way you want.

Bon to the rescue! Man you are the technical guru...where were you when I was trying to get at my 168 bulbs on my headlights or my fogs? got any magic tricks for that other than dropping bumper or messing with the fender liners? I always screw up those clips in the fender and really don't want to have floppy fender wells!

Sadly, I don't know yet, but just as soon as I zero in on my HID bulbs I'll join you in surgery. I'm pretty sure the fender liners are the way to go though. Perhaps I can find a way to remove the clips without doing damage. I like doing the research, doing the work and then spreading the word.
