Default 1 Stop Bluetooth/Ipod solution for 02 sc

I've had my 02 SC for awhile now, and I've felt lost without bluetooth and an ipod adapter. And I was sick of hearing how you can't do this to the sc or can't do that. But my prayers have been answered, I installed a Parrot mki9100($200), which gives you bluetooth and an ipod hookup, a line in, and a usb. I used a harness($85) so no wires needed to be spliced, sound comes from all the speakers. The actual screen is in the ash tray, the screen is a caller id display, plus gives you all your song info just like on your ipod, all the hookups (ipod, etc) are in the center console. It comes with a remote that i put on top of the change lid by the shifter. I will post pics later. It really is incredible

how long did it take you to install this, and could a non-expert get the job done without ruining his interior?

now that we know about the harness can anyone with some experience with such things speak to the relative difficulty of installing all of this? i really want to make a change, but i have never messed about with a car stereo in any way, and this sort of thing makes me nervous.

That Harness site also sells a kit with the 9200 model for 249.95! Not bad!

Usually parrot systems install between the speaker wires and the stereo. This allows the parrot system to be directly connected to the speakers and able to mute what is playing to allow a bluetooth conversation when you get a phone call.
(At least this was how it was done when i did it in my prius).

In our case the speakers route directly to the amp (in our trunk).
Although it is plug and play, i can foresee the most difficult part of this being trying to route the wires from the rear to the front.

Anyone with experience removing the rear seats will find this super easy to do, but those that don't like to mess with their cars might find some difficulty on this part.

If i am correct (which may not be the case and i could be completely wrong), it needs to be installed in the trunk, the procedure for installation would be remove trunk lining replace harness with new parrot harness in between, then run wires to the front. To get wires to the front you can either fish the wire through, or remove the backseat for easier access.

The job can be difficult or hard depending how stealth you want the final setup to be. If you don't mind wires hanging loose then it should be fairly easy to accomplish.

Not sure if that remote is wireless (on my parrot model [bluetooth only]) it wasn't wireless and thus another wire that was hanging around.

I don't know how much help that is but i thought i'd share my $0.02.
