Default Clear Headlights for 430

I have a 2002 SC430 that i am havuing freshly painted and I desparately need to take the lenses off of my front headlights to clean them up (polishing them). The lights seem to have a yellowing or foggy film not only on the outside but it may be in the inside. Can I take the lights apart to polish the inside.

Also, can you buy the clear plastic for the lights without buying the entire headlight assembly. There is nothing wrong with my lights I simply want perfectly clear lenses to go with my new paint job.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Meguiar's just cam out with a headlight restoration kit. I think you should try it out first and remove as much yellow as you can. If you still want to take off the lenses...there may be a way, but I'm not sure how. I'll research and post back if I find something

You most likely need to bake the headlights to do the job right.

Thanks to clear bra, the lens of my headlights still look new after years of usage.

As Talwang said, put them in the oven for ten minutes. The glue will soften up enough to pry the lens off. Then heat it up again when you put the lens back on so the glue will grab again.

Here in VA, most auto parts stores sell kits for $20.00 that will restore your headlights. Also, on Ebay there are many companies that sell similar kits for less than $20. Good Luck
