Just a bit of fun. Settings I used where 18% drivetrain loss and 20g trigger. If you dont have Dynolicious buy it cos its alot of fun.

Was a little wet and taking in road conditions etc was not a bad run.

0-10 = 0.69
0-20 = 1.64
0-30 = 2.65
0-40 = 3.68
0-50 = 4.73
0-60 = 5.94

the iphone has an accelerometer (like a nintendo wii). it can measure even very small movements. the software is able to determine acceleration from the movement. i'm guessing the horsepower is probably calculated backwards from you telling it your car model. if it's faster than stock, it can estimate how much horsepower would be required to achieve those results. pretty neat trick.

Its very straightforward TBH.

You enter a car ( you can have multiple cars)

Set weight

If you want engine HP set drivetrain loss otherwise it calculates wheel HP

Calibrate by rotating the phone on all its axis.

Thats pretty much it.

One thing thats very important is it needs to be completely still, I first tried using a window mount but it vibrated to much. What I did in the end is wrap a piece of cloth around the phone and wedge it in the cupholder, which works great.

Then the fun part

Stop your car, press start and floor it.

I had to raise the trigger setting from 10g to 20g as was getting false starts. If you play around I think you can get some very accurate results.

I also have a Passport GT-2 timer (similar to G-tech) which would be interesting to see them side by side.

Theres some questioning as too how accurate Dynolicious is but for the price and convenience it cant be beat. I think it works really well comparing to itself ie when you add/remove mods to your car. Or say against others timing their car with Dynolicious. Rather then the comparisons on the net against a proper shop Dyno.

Hardest part is finding a quiet road, if you live in a built up area like me your wife will wonder why your sneaking out at 3am.
