Hope someone can help me out. Tried searching the forum but didn't find anything. I have version 2001-2002 Nav DVD. Recently my NAV has gotten painfully slow. When traveling it is slow to show the route, even blanking out some regions as I travel. Also cannot plot a route, says "route not found" after searching for a couple minutes. Touch screen is extrememly slow after pressing any button. Feels like some sort of hard drive or memory problem. I tried removing the DVD and re-inserting, same problem. Does anyone have a clue what it could be? Is there some sort of system re-boot that can be performed? Thanks!
All i can say is get the updated disc there are so many improvements on it uncluding firm ware etc... That will solve your problem you can get them from lexus or download from a torrent site.
Torrent sites are sites where you can download movies/tvshows/computer programs, mostly illegally. Buying it off ebay just be careful-- many of those are downloaded from torrent sites and burned to a DVD. Sewell sells the legit copies. Upgrade is easy -- eject the old disk, insert the new one, turn on the car.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I looked at the DVD and there weren't any scratches or anything on it, so if it is indeed the DVD, I'd wonder why it would suddenly not work right. Does anyone know if the nav system has some sort of hard drive type unit? I ask because the system stores info like destinations etc, which obviously are not stored on the DVD. So perhaps for me there is another problem going on.... since it is operating extremely slowly, with missing data.
