Slow dead steering
I sold my SC 430 last month and the steering feel was the main reason. It also took too much input on corners which took all the fun out of winding roads. I found it tiring to drive on road as the steering lacked any feel. Now am I alone? I should have asked this before I sold the car but didnt want to admit to myself that I had less than a perfect car. I had other gripes too, like slow to shift down, and too much lean in corners. Other than these gripes I did still enjoy the car, it just didnt meet my expectations that the looks inspire.
I'm curious, you sold the car, yet now your posting about these things. Are you planning on buying another one? Guess my point is, you already sold the car, so what were trying to get out of posting this now?
I could cite a great many posts on this site about what you spoke of on every Lexus model including some BMWs (my 525 was the worst in terms of handling) but this car was never marketed as a Corvette alternative. It is what it is and yes there are many mod available to get you where you want to be with this car.
The choice is the owners.

I guess it comes with the car. I want it just the way it is. I drove from San Francisco to Crescent City during the middle of the night in a terrible rainstorm and the road was as twisty as it comes. I arrived fresh and relaxed.
Sure my old 911 steered quicker and braked harder but I couldn't drive it for 1,000 miles straight with out arriving exhausted and stressed out.
I wanted a fun car that looked sporty and that wouldn't beat me to death on a long drive. Notice I didn't say Sports Car. I am happy to drive at 8/10's and arrive smiling.

It's like my grandma used to say: "That's why there's chocolate AND vanilla."
As I said in my post I was afraid to admit the cars faults to myself when I owned it but still curious how others felt about the handling and still curious if there were any fixes. But you are probably right in that I should not particpate here. And yes I did get rid of the runflats which helped some. And as far as handling goes I wasnt comparing the car to a Corvette but to are other car a 05 Malibu which is far more agile than the SC. That hurt.

I live in LA, drive the canyons, and find my '06 to be very agile. I'd put it between sports cars and sports sedans (excl the M series BMW). If your Malibu outperformed your SC, something wasn't right, IMHO.
With my latest additions I would have spent 50% of the price I paid to purchase my car 5 years ago.
TBH thats just stupid, but I think im getting close to how I would have liked the car to have come stock from factory for my needs
