Visor Plastic shaft Broken
The tip of the ivory colored plastic hollow tubular shaft on the passenger side visor has broken off and the visor will fall out of it's socket occasionally. The dealer parts person showed me the illustration and it has a thread like tip at the end of the shaft. Except for the hold down cover plate and a screw, the only part supplied is the entire visor, which costs $250. plus tax. I guess Sewell Lexus could shave some off that price if I need to buy a new one. I am not convinced yet, maybe I can let it go as is.So, I put some Instant Glue on the tiny top edge of the shaft tube and pressed the visor shaft back in. Let's see if this holds. I will have to tell my passengers to let me put the visor down and no it doesn't turn to the side window.
Anyone else ever experience visor problems with their SC430? Parts Dept. says the don't remember ever selling a visor for the SC430.
