Default Wheel studs (extended) for use with spcers where to get them

Hi. I just have made to custom hubcentric spacers for sc430. 10mm front and 20mm back. They are perfect. The only problem I have is I can not find any studs. I want to replace the original studs with longer ones so I can use the spcers. The studs need to be about 3/4 inch longer they can be even 3/4 to 1.5inch longer.

Do you have any suggestions how to use them or where to get the studs from.

I do not propose to be an expert on spacers but I have done some research recently as they were required to put on my BBK. You can get studs that are 1/2" longer quite easily by using Toyoto Land Cruiser studs. I'm not sure by your description that these will be long enough though.

Just google it, you'll find some as long as you know the correct length.

10mm and 20mm spacers with extended studs are readily available from H&R, Ichiba and etc.

The only reason I bought a set of custom wheel spacers before was the size I needed was exactly 18mm. And they were adapter type with extended studs pressed into the spacer. In addition to that, I have the hub size on the spacers customized to 73mm (the same as my wheel bore), so I don't need wheel hubcentric rings to run my aftermarket wheels.

For 20mm spacers, you can go with wheel adapters. Even SC430 oem wheels can use them without any clearance issue.
Most aftermarket JDM wheels can take 15mm wheel adapters easily.

Default where Do i buy wheel spacers.....

am looking at Wheel Spacers also, I have OEM 18" wheels on my SC430, what is the maximum (mm) wheel spacers i can have?

where can I buy them?
do I need new longer lug nuts?

am a newbie.....

Dudes (or Chicks),

I just installed these (20mm) and they work great and are an easy install. They utilize your existing lugs and have their own lugs for your wheel mounting. In other words take your wheels of, bolt on the spacer, put your wheel back on......done. You MUST also buy the hubcentric rings along with the spacer! Otherwise, don't bother. Both available at the same site.

It is great that they finally start to carry KICS hubcentric rings for KICS spacers.
A couple years back, I couldn't find those KICS hubcentric rings anywhere in the US and had to ordered those rings directly from Japan.

I suggest F:20mm & R:30mm for SC430 stock wheels with KICS spacers.

Just contact Todd at TM Engineering. He has spacers from 3mm to 20mm and several sizes in between.

He also has studs available in varying lengths as well.

The quality of these parts are excellent too.

Note that it is DANGEROUS to put < 20mm spacers without either lengthening the studs or having the studs built into the spacer itself.

There will not be enough turns on the lug nut to hold the wheel safely.

get the ARP wheel studs. they are like at least 1/2 longer, probably more. they are A LOT stronger too, so safety would be greatly enhanced.
they are like 50 or so for each side?

I have been using 20mm H&R spacers on front and rear for several years now. I've not had any problems whatsoever, and I get alot of compliments on my wheels, which, believe it or not are, are the original pie plates but chromed. 15mm would work better up front, but those use the longer studs (as opposed to simple bolt on), and I didn't want to go through the trouble and expense of replacing the studs (which are included with the H&R spacers). So, ideally, IMO, 15mm up front and 20mm in rear works best with OEM wheels but 20mm all around is fine.

Trust me.
20mm front and 30mm rear look much better because they creat the staggered look and I am talking about hubcentric wheel adapters with built-in studs like KICS, the ones you DO NOT need to replace your wheel studs.

I used to run spacers and adapters on my oem sc wheels and I have 9 set of spacers and adapters (10mm-30mm) in my garage to play with.

If you really really really want to make your sc430 stock wheels to have that flush with fender look, then you can actually use 30mm front and 45mm rear wheel adapters.
15mm front & 25mm rear is another combination on this car you can use.

Just checked, I actually have 25mm all around.

Wheel spacers simply push the wheels out further to the corners of the car. It's always been my opinion that car looked funny with the OEM offset. I don't understand why Lexus didn't produce the car with a wider track.

The cons of spacers: I'm no mechanic, but I'd expect that longer studs puts more stress on the studs; bolt-ons have the possibility of coming loose (I have mine checked at each 5k service); and I suspect maybe some additional wheel bearing wear(?), but I'd suspect no more than purchasing wheels with the additional offset.

Oh, and another con is that adding unsprung weight is never a good thing, not that you'll notice it much in the handling of an SC.

Lemme check...I think I got some lying around. I bought a H&R spacer before and it came with studs which I never used. Let me try to find them and I'll take a picture of them and try to measure it. These were for my SC too.
