Default amplifier

Add me to the list of bad amps. I hit the set button on the steering wheel one day and the sound was so intense I ducked
thinking I was be shot at.

It has happened twice. The first time all my settings went nuts!
Upon resetting everything, it seemed to work fine for about a month.

My dealer has ordered a replacement. I asked him if there had been any reports of damage to the speakers or other components as a result of this. He indicated negative. How about anyone elses experiences with collateral damage!

Same thing happened to me ... twice.
Next time I take it in for service (in the spring) I'm going to ask them to check to see if any speakers are damaged.

What is the build date of your car? Supposedly cars built after June 2001 do not have this problem.
