Default Some speakers on left side cut out

Driving my GS350 (with ML option) yesterday, I noticed some of the sound from the left front side cutting off for about 10 seconds, and then coming back on again. No crackling or static. Happened with both FM and CD's. The irritating thing is that it didn't happen on a regular basis. I could drive miles without any problem, or it could happen multiple times within a minute. It's probably one of those annoying subtle problems that wouldn't surface if I brought it to the dealer for evaluation. Anyone have this problem, or have any thoughts? Thank-you.

Loose connection at the speaker. Not sure how they are connected, but this would be the first thing to check.

See if you can duplicate the problem yourself by whacking at the speaker(s) that cut out with your hand.

Thanks, Jay. I'll try that.

This happened to me also... dealer duplicated it, tried replacing the oem amp .... no luck. It is not your speakers. They ended up switching out the head unit tuner and that fixed it..

Problem now is i just put in a 4500 system, subs all new speakers and the problem came back.

talking to the dealership now to see about cover it.
