My SC430 Car PC / Carputer
Got bored. iPods don't hold half enough music. La Jolla Audio is really good at what they do, and I'd been looking for a project.

Am currently using the Navtool to get composite NTSC into the nav display, it will be for sale soon if anyone wants it. I intend to use an Extron scan converter to another PC that can do the lower frequency sync and then do VGA to RGB/S.
Will need to get some cool frontend software loaded on it and tidy things up (USB wiring in glove compartment and fingerprints on screen are an embarassing mess), there's more pictures of the kill and display switches, etc, to be taken. Also going to add a Griffin PowerMate on top of the change holder as soon as I can find one in black.
Flush-mount usb connector is from Neutrik, touchpad is modified from ergonomictouchpad.com.
Question: Does anyone know the native resolution of the nav display? I've done my homework and can't seem to find anything certain. Any help in that department is appreciated.
Almost done,

Pretty impressive. Do you have touch screen control? Maybe XP tablet edition will do the job for the front end if you could get the touch screen working. Could leave the PC world and hook up a mac mini and use front row with the remote. PM sent on the navtool.
