Upgrading the NAV LCD in a SC430
Has anyone tried to "simply" replace the low-resolution LCD panel in their Navigation unit, with a brighter, high-definition (720p or >) IPS LCD panel ---while keeping the original, stock NAV-ECU intact?
I just purchased a "spare" Nav-screen-unit" to try to do this (while keeping my stock unit operational while I tinker), and could use any insight anyone can share.
Retroplay has provided some valuable info to me on this, --and on some of the difficulties I can expect to encounter trying to do this --- but if anyone has attempted this and can offer feedback, I'd certainly appreciate it.

What HDMI input do you plan to use, and do you intend to use the touch screen to try and control something external to the display ?
