I have the 06 version and it is already outdated. Last weekend I looked up National Sports Centre when I was driving through scarborough. I found a Lawrence Ave location on the nav. I went there and it had been closed down for a while. Is there an updated 07 disk?
The North American DVD that is in your car, unless you have an original from 2002, includes Canada, or at least that part of it that has roads. Look there first; I think you already have it.

Yes, I believe tfischer is correct. I've seen Canada on the DVD although I 've never really used it.
'02 was the first year that the DVD NAV system was used. If your data disc has not been updated since purchase, then your street data and POI data is, for the most part from 2000, when the data was compiled for the disc, which was first used in April of '01.
I can't recall how detailed the maps of Canada were at that time, but I did use them to plan a trip to Stratford Ontario last year, and they are complete in the latest version.
If the '02 DVD does not have any detailed road information, maybe the manufacturer just forgot about Canada. That has been corrected. I'd check Sewell's web page and see if now is not a good time to get the '06 version, since an '07 version has just been announced, and they may be clearing out the '06s at a good price.
Considering that your maps and POIs are about 6 years old, this seems like a good move. I upgrade every two or three years just for the heck of it.
