Just stumbled across the voice activation button after 2 months of driving must read the manual...It works just fine (unlike my 350Z at speed...)

Is the Climate voice controlled?

I can only get limited verbal help for the navigation when driving, Is there other verbal help menus? I have found the help menus when stationary OK

Any good commands people often use?

I was in my friend's TL last night and he called out a phone number and said call after he said the number. The bluetooth then repeated the number out loud and called it for him.

Is our bluetooth voice activated also?

Quite a few of these commands are not mentioned
and no mention of any alternate commands on either the help command or in the manual...

Cant believe "Im hungry" will work shall try it later

Your word attatchment lists voice commands for the radio. My 2006 sc 430 does not have that. My fingers command the radio.

I know my new SC430 has voice because I saw the salesperson to a Chinese restaurant search by telling the car "I'm hungry." But there is nothing in the owner's manual I can find and I just sat in the car for 20 minutes looking for the "button" to which you refer.

Anyone help me out here?

 

?? they didn't give you the nav manual? that's weird

anyway the voice button is behind the audio control on the left side of the steering wheel, press it, it will beep, and then you can speak

I got the nav manual, but I've looked three times and don't think its there. Maybe I have the wrong manual. I also got a CD-ROM which definitely didn't mention it.

Now that you mention it, I do recall the salesperson leaning over me to press a button. Of course, if you wanted to turn on the radio, it would be simplier just to press that button!! I'll give that a try in a few minutes.

One other question, speaking of radio. Am I correct that there is no way to get the other radio info (e.g. call sign, artist, etc.) to be the default instead of the frequency? I can see it now by pressing the button, but it goes away after a few seconds.

 

i can't remember exactly, but i think i have a "cheat sheet" that gives out the commands, maybe others can confirm

no, 05 was the first year they switched to 4th gen nav, which comes with bluetooth and voice recognition
