I recently got a 2015 Lexus GS. I am still trying to figure the Navigation unit. I have the Lexus app and enform app and have made account and logged in my phone. Phone is connected thru Bluetooth with car. I face 2 problems:

1. The “web search” option in navigation is Greyed out. Do I have to give monthly subscription of enform for the “web search” to work? Technically it should work locally thru Bluetooth and my phone but I could not make it work.

2. In the Android Enform app, when I search a location, for example “Walmart” it searches and then there is a call, save and share button, I try to share it gives several options, even if I select “lexus enform” nothing happens, the location does not get shared to the Car navigation system. How can i share a location searched in phone with the car? Does that require a subscription as well?

I can pay for the subscription but I want to be sure that these features do require one. Don’t want to waste my money. Thank you : )

There is no fee to use Enform, only to use the Enform Remote app.

It sounds to me like your car isn't recognizing your phone app. Perhaps un-pair then re-pair your phone again. I assume by "web search" you are referring to Destination Search. There is no additional fee to use this, but the app needs to be running on your phone. I don't use Android, but on my iPhone I just have it running in the background.

As for sending an address from your phone app to your car, you need to click "SAVE" not "SHARE". After you do that, go to your car, start it up, and go to your Enform Suite on your nav. Click on Saved Destinations. It will ask if you want it to update, click YES, then the address should pop up.

Thank you very much for replying. I have LGV20, which as per lexus website should have all features needed for enform. I have attached the picture, showing the "web search" is grayed out. I will unpair and pair again and see if that helps.

 

It's not recognizing your phone. The phone icon up top with the red line through it shows that. Resolve that issue and you should get your search feature.

I connected phone again, and i got an update and then it downloaded all apps. now i can use the "web search" as well. I feel like i got a new car again
