Default SRT Intake/ ECU

This is the response I got from them when I asked if the GS430 intake would fit since they dont have a sc430 intake on their website.

"Sorry the GS430 intake does not fit the SC430"

is this true I thought someone suggested getting a SRT intake.

The intake works, the heat shield does not since the SC430 has a different body vs the GS. I will know more once another CL member FINALLY ships mine which I paid for 2 weeks ago.

LOL. I planned on a dyno last week figuring it would arrive. Hopefully this week and I can still get in a dyno as I wanted to install headers shortly and dyno again. But I did have this intake on my GS twice and there is a definite increase in power and torque.

I cant wait to see the numbers. On another note on their web site it says it increases fuel economy but I dont see how if in theory in order to increase the fuel to air ratio you would need to make it richer. Seems odd to me can someone explain this or better yet is it proven?

Why don't you go for an BLITZ SUS or SONIC AIRINTAKE KIT!? It will fit the SC430 and looks bad *** too.

@tonydt1g3r

be careful - getting another ECU(SRT) fooling the OEM AFM into seeing less air -> at the end the car runs to lean (A/F) - and bummm.... as we say in germany: "klingelingeling der kolbenmann hat zugeschlagen"

if you going for this update hook up af A/F Meter/Sensor and monitor if everything runs fine...
(just a suggestion)

The SRT intake has been around for a while and pitiful installation wiring diagram aside is a reliable proven workhorse. That said the fit is VERY tight in the SC for this intake as the rear of the headlight assembly protrudes into the filter. A new heatshield will also have to be fabricated which I plan on finishing this week.
The Blitz SUS is very nice and looks awesome (better than the SRT IMO) plus is quieter. I wanted to go another way so my Blitz is up in the classifieds section. One is a nice simple bolt on(SUS) , the other requires some work for the extra HP (SRT).
Note: If you decide on the SRT intake, DO NOT use the wiring diagram that comes with it. You can fry the ECU. PM me or someone else for the correct wiring instructions.

Do you know of or seen anyone with a SRT in take on their SC430??
I notice that on the SRT intake that I have on my GS430 it states on the ECU unit that it is good for the GS430/SC430

My ECU says LS430/GS430/SC430
But here it a pic of it installed in my SC430. I am in the process of fabricating an entire airbox for it. Most likely it will become black as well for an OEM look. It is not built like an Blitz SUS unit, but it provides more horsies. Just more involved to install.

Here is a link to a video of the intake/exhaust combo.

Please SAVE the download to your computer first and one time to save me bandwidth so others can download as well. First portion is in the garage and a bit more accurate as the outside clips are washed out by the sound of the rushing air. Smoke from exhaust is because it is/was cold outside-nothing more. Top down thoughout entire video. The way the SC430 should be enjoyed.

RIGHT CLICK HERE TO SAVE VIDEO

thank you
Lee

Pearlpower, Oh yeah mine also has LS430 on the ECU unit. The SRT in take looks sweet.
It'll be nice when you do your before and after header dyno. I thnk you'l be the first N/A GS400/430. One of the SC400 guys and and a FI GS430 are the only ones that I have seen post any #'s.
I'm still waiting on my headers to arrive.
