Default few questions about '06 sc430

hi all
new to this forum, i have a few questions about the new sc
1. any sway bars that would fit on the '06? i was told by Daizen their sway bars WILL NOT fit the '06 model. any other options?
2. will Supra TT brake fit on this car? the rear brake is especially ugly.
3. any mods that wil give more steering feedback to the driver??

thanks in advance

welcome to the forum, let me guess what car you got right now.....

1) what's the reason daizen gave about their sways not fitting the 06? what has changed on the 06? suspension is changed again, or it's the engine / rear end? daizen is the only company i know of making sways for the sc430
2) the front will, the rear will not without a custom bracket
3) not easy. you can put stiffer springs/shocks, wider wheels/tires, tightening the steering pretensioner, and put on braces. but if you are looking for the kind of feel in a s2000 or bimmer, this is the wrong car

thanks for the reply.

Daizen did not give me any reasons , hard to believe the suspension has been significantly changed since 2004.

how do you tighten the steering pretensioner? i am planning to get light weight wheels after the current run flats worn out. the stock tire/wheel combo weighs 54 lbs. i am hoping a 20 lbs per corner saving in unsprung weight might help the steering a bit( makes it less clumsy).

the 06 has the same engine but different tranny, and the rear end is changed (the gear ratio). i don't think the tranny has any interference with the bar, and i really don't think the engine has change. if they are using a much bigger rear end, maybe that will cause problems with the rear bar?

for the suspension, they changed it a bit (spring rates, etc...) for 05, would be surprised if they change it again for 06

if you look below the steering column from underneath, you will see a bit hex joint, if you tighten it a bit (1/16 of a turn?) the steering will be tightened up by quite a bit. dont' do too much, coz' you will start to loose power steering

Henry, do you remember after having my 05 for a month and then getting the 06 I wrote in saying the ride on the 06 seems alot stiffer and firmer. Could there be a difference?

yeah i remember that. maybe someone can check on teh part numbers on the springs/shocks again to see how different they are, if any

but i am just thinking, for the sways not to apply on 06 anymore, it will probably require more than just a spring/shock change, probably change to the suspension structure?
