I believe that it is listed in a thread on this forum but I don't presently have the link. Do a search for it.

Did some searching... wasn't able to find any topics listing the number of SC430s produced in each color.

This was the closest I got:

Interesting how color names are changed even in official Lexus documents. Wonder if the paint formulas changed as well. For example in the thread linked in the previous post by Spinout180, in model year 07 the color code 3P6 is labeled as “blackish red” in the document, whereas 3P6 is known to the world, in general, as “Twilight Amethyst”.

I note a recent new member said his black had a reddish tint to it. He referred to it as “black cherry”. But I don’t know the paint code on his car. Makes you wonder if changes occurred?????

linked Lexus document: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...7-features.pdf
obviously Lexus DID rename the color with a more exotic name, just not sure about the formulations now.

What do you think Spinout???

Identical paint formulations are named differently in different countries/markets. Additionally, sometimes the paint information is released before the marketing team gets to invent cool names, so a general description is released. I see this all the time as I update the newest paint information from just about every Japanese mfg.

Maybe I'm just remembering a thread with the production numbers of each year it was made.

Call the dealership ask for parts dept. and tell them what u need, give them the last 8 of VIN code and wallahh! This is for any car some dealers may ask for all 17 characters but either way, done...(don't kno why they need all 17 considering the 11th digit is the color of vehicle but anywayz) Good luck and take care

or you can match the drivers door paint code tag with the paint code here
