I checked around and it appears you are correct. Wow. $425.00 for the filter and $120.00 for the bracket =$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a filter. At least the Blitz exhaust is nice though quiet.

Default I like the Blitz SUS intake

Well, I bought a used Blitz SUS intake recently from another member which I think was originally owned by pearlpower.

the first day wasn't much throttle.
the second and third days were much more responsive.

I still have the stock exhaust and the sound does not make much of a difference. but as soon as I punch the accelarator going up on-ramps entering the freeway, i could hear and feel the power of this Blitz intake.

don't expect a major boost in HP cause the intake isn't meant to be that way.

It just makes me a little more happier that a simple mod can do wonders for me. It's not much but I'm very happy with it.

I'm a very slow modder so doing something to a high-end car is a major thing to me. Plus, as a first time modder, so far, i've been satisfied w/ all the aftermarket products available for the SC430.

Happy modding.

I'll post pics next week when I have a mini-meet this weekend w/ some locals and take some pics for ya'll.

Nice good intake. Very solid and attractive. Did you reset the computer for 45 minutes during the install? Could explain why it is taking some time for the increase to come through.

the best way is to unplug the negative battery terminal, there is another way where u pull out the fuse for the ecu, but there are a few ecus I forgot which fuses they were.

Since it's already installed and connected, do i need to un-install the intake and disconnect the negative battery end, wait 45 minutes and re-install everything or can I just disconnect the negative battery end, wait 45 min. and plug it back in?

thanks..teeman3

Hi Tee,
Unplugging the terminal will do. No need to reinstall the intake.

Thanks. I'll do it on Sat.
anyway, the past few days w/ the Blitz intake, i can actually hear it from inside the cabin w/ my windows rolled up all the way. When i suddenly punch the accelerator, the intake kicks in and i hear this roar and sounds very exciting.

Just curious, w/ so many multiple sudden "punches" when entering freeway on ramps, passing vehicles and daily local driving, is there any concern that the intake may blow up or something?

It's a stupid question, but I wanted to know more about those who already have the intake and the daily driving that the intake performs w/ the engine and acceleration.

I'm just not used to this sudden "roar" from the front of the engine now since it's taken on another personality.

thanks....teeman3

it won't blow up..... it just technically makes air flow better, doesn't really change much on your car, mostly it's about the sound. it's just like having exhaust, punching the car won't make it die
