Introduction
Hello, I am new to this forum, having joined less than a week ago.
I am the happy owner of a 2002 Lexus SC430. The exterior is Indigo Ink pearl; the interior is white with bird's eye maple.
It has the standard equipment in terms of stereo (Mark Levinson speakers, 6 CD player, cassette player) and the navigation system.
There have been no modifications, although I have begun to consider making some such as updating the stereo system and adding a backup camera.
The only issue is the infamous battery drain from which many SC430's suffer. I have read about the solutions, and I will eventually opt for one (especially now that I intend
to drive the car much more than I have. I have averaged less than 1K miles a year during the past 10 years).
Before buying this car (10 years ago), the cars I considered were a used Mercedes SL and a used Jaguar XK. I chose the Lexus because of reliability and the interior.
The styling has grown a lot on me, and I find the car absolutely gorgeous.
While researching solutions to the battery drain problem, I was lucky to find this site,
I look forward to learning much and also contributing.

Welcome to the Club and Congrats on your first post
Since you haven’t been able to isolate what’s causing the battery drain, I have read recently of an owner, who’s also had the infamous parasitic battery drain/draw, that bought a lifetime warranty battery from Toyota and has since not had a problem. It’s been a year on and still no issues. The battery was pricey but well worth it.
Just a suggestion, in case you haven’t tried that yet.

Greetings,
Last year, when my battery needed replacing, I connected a bench power supply to the battery leads so I could change the battery with losing any of my settings.
It was very surprised to see the drain at 120 milliamps with the car just sitting. So, yes the drain is high.
I've got a trickle charger and I've wired it into the car. So when I know I'm not going to be driving for a while, I just connect the charger. Works great.
The other solution is to do as you said, drive the car more frequently.
There is a LOT of knowledge of these cars here. It's been immensely helpful to me in working with my car since I bought it 4 years ago. I even went to the point of going back to the beginning and reading every thread. Obsessive? Probably. Helpful, definitely.
Cheers

Thank you. Your advice is welcome.
I will definitely install a trickle charger. There will be times when I will not be driving because of the snow.
I have begun absorbing some of the knowledge available here.
