Default Speedometer Issues

Our 2002 speedometer stopped working and the fuel range also!!! I know it isn't cables driven, like I'm used to. Can anyone tell me where the speed sensor is located? Looking for it, I saw one that says it is located on the transmission. Is that correct? Thanks for any guidance.

Anything else not working?

Did you check all your fuses?

I think the feed is from the ABS ECU.

Do you think it is a speedometer issue, or a bigger issue?

Thanks for responding.
I have not checked the fuses yet. Just the speedo and fuel range not working.

I recently bought an sc430. When I initially test drove it the speedometer didn't work. The owner ended up needing to replace the car computer system. It cost him $3000, but that was here in Hawaii (everything is more expensive here). Since he replaced the computer everything works perfectly like it should.
