Default Leave it stock

I see threads asking for advice on how to modify the 430.
Radio mods seem to be popular. It seems these threads are soon followed by a
“How do I get my Nav door / Radio door to work” question. Or questions on modifying
the exhaust headers and or mufflers. I know when I was searching for my 430 I avoided
cars that were modded in any way. Maybe it’s just me but I really prefer a stock
car over one that’s been modded. It seems that something just doesn’t work
or sound right afterwards. It’s a luxury GT. Not a hotrod.

Modest Mods are always okay when performed correctly. I swapped the radio out and have never had an issue with nav/radio doors, steering wheel controls etc. I think the system sounds better with the Pioneer unit and BeatSonic interface.

I also installed a CatBack MagnaFlow exhaust, it sounds great according to my wife and I.

I changed the wheels to Lexus IS350 wheels and like them better than the OEMs.

I kept the original radio and exhaust and could easily return it to original, except for the wheel swap I sold the OEMs.

I agree totally...I did the Bgw70 Pioneer/Beatsonic install and re foamed my speakers and the sound system improved dramatically! I added a wireless adapter to connect to CarPlay avoiding any cable to iPhone.....thanks again Bgw70

Worried about a Nav door for a screen and a system that is obsolete seems ridiculous to me. I'm overwhelmed by the system in my car now. I would do it all again, I wouldn't like spending the money twice though.
