Default CCV Valve

Is there another name for a CCV valve? Can not seem to find a part by name.

I thought the same but not sure the PCV would throw the P0441, P0446, PO455 and P2418 codes. They replaced the CCV value (Air intake Hose) part # 17875-50270. Would the PCV throw those codes?

Hey Dennis, let's take a step back..

Are you getting the 0441, P0446, PO455 and P2418 codes?

Did they show up after they replaced the air intake plenum? Or did they replace the intake hose to solve the problem? Or are these two things not related?

I think those codes are related to a Charcoal Canister Purge valve. (CCValve probably equals Charcoal Canister Valve, but not usually referred to that way)

Do you or your son smell gas when they fill up with fuel?

It was on my sons 05. The check engine light came on as well as VSC/VSC Off light. I had him hook his techstream laptop up and it showed the P0441,P0446 and P0455 codes. It showed Evp system large leak. He checked for vacuum leaks and found none. We ordered a new fuel cap and replaced that. Still had the lights on. Took it to his guy for an oil and filter change and to check out the lights. He came up with the same codes but also P2418 which Steve did not show. Anyway invoice shows he replaced the CCV value and the lights are gone. I could not fined a part called the CCV valve and was just wondering if it was called something. Here is what the part is

That would make sense. If that was damaged, a lot of unmetered air would be getting into the engine, by passing the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

Hi Dennis, it might be the “purge control solenoid valve” or “Vacuum Switching Valve Assembly” if your son has time, ask him to look around the drivers side and passenger sides for a new clean part. They will are small, no more than 2” and should have a couple of vacuum lines connected to them.
Here is a thread on the subject.
