OK, so is this for a SC400? What are the gains? Is it stronger or just better shift points and ratios?

Its for the SC300/Supra. If you don't know what the Th400 kits are used for I prefer not to go into great detail. They are mainly used for the High Hp 2jz's in which you want it to last longer than the built Toyota Automatics.

Nothing to worry about. I just find it hard to explain this style of detail to someone who hasn't heard about it before. Once you get to the point of needing a Th400 its normally when you have a GTE swap or NA-T pushing a good amount of power.

turboB, not to start a conversation, but just for a little knowledge for others who might not know:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...oDisplayType=2

That's the trans he's talking about. It came behind many powerful GM cars in GM's heydey. It's very beefy and can handle plenty of HP/TQ.

BTW, I'd love to throw that in my SC once I supercharge it!! Also, Scott please note it's a 3 speed trans...really it's for serious use/abuse.
