WTB: CAT Catalytic Converter
Hmm... good question. My engine is throwing code 27... so whichever one triggers that? Sorry if I am no help, but I know the exhaust is the problem and its the Cat(s) in front of the Sub O2 Sensors.
you would probably be better off buying them from a muffler shop or ebay or something (do NOT buy universal fit, direct fit only) cuz if anybody has them used they are prolly coming out of the car same as yours
Well see the thing is that theres this weird smell too like a burning smell coming from back there, and I am sometimes having trouble starting the car, like the car turns over but I have to hit the gas before it idles properly, all things my mechanic tells me is most likely the Cat Converter but if hes BSing me I would appreciate the help. Theres no smoke coming out of the exhaust or anyhting but theres also a tiny rattling in the exhaust. Can just the O2 going bad do allt hat? Smell, starting, and exaust noise? And the only code my engine is throwing is a 27 which I have herad could be the Cat too. But it is talking abotu the driver side right? And 29 talks about apssengr?

neither 27 or 29 specify which side it is, 27 says sub O2S signal, 29 says sub O2s
and yes the sensor can do that, because it's telling the ecu that there is unburned gas in the exhaust and that retards fuel flow in to the motor, ecu tries to balance it out i guess
so it could be either or both cats and sensors gone bad
try to take out the sensors first and see what they look like, you can also take out the cats and look through them, if the light that comes trough is round and even they should be ok but if it's patchy or no light then you got rust and all other s#it in there
i'd probably start off with the sensors first, before you start forking out cash for new cats
oxygensensors.com has them both universal and OEM replacement
