Default Sc 300 or 400?

Just started looking in to Sc somewhat...
Can someone tell me the difference?
Which would be better for fast and cheap? If possible.

300= 2JZ-GE inline 6cyl, very easy to mod, hard to find in 5-speed

400= 1UZ-FE 4.0l v8, fairly easy to mod, no 5-speed available

rest can be found by searching.

Both platforms have potential and have their pro's/con's. It honestly depends on weather you'd prefer to mod a V8 or I6. If you go with the 300 you can go NA-T or swap in a GTE for fairly cheap and achieve a good amount of power with little money. If you want to go 400 you can supercharge it and make decent power. If you can pick up a 5 speed SC300 that would be my choice of the two and probably the best "bang for your buck" in regards to power.

I just picked up a 95 SC300 5speed, great car,amazing handling. I wish the V8 came with a 5-6 speed though or i would opt for that one.Would be great to have V8 powerwith some NA mods on 5-6speed.

I just picked up a '98 SC300. Possibly the BEST car that I've ever
drove!! VVT-I is awesome! I'm biased now.

I would go with a 98+ SC400 or a 5-speed SC300. The best thing to do would be to find the cleanest SC you can whether it's an SC400 or SC300.
