I recently bought this SC300 a few months ago and decided to track the build on CL.
Bought this from a dealership it's a model year 2000 which I didn't realize how rare it was until after the purchase.
I'm not trying to get speed out of this. To me its a fun weekend car to take road trips in.
I've already purchased some work wheels for it and BC racing Coilovers just to give it a little more of a modern look.
Here are the work wheels
They are Work Kiwami CR The gold will look really good with the black.
Sadly I don't have them on the car yet. It's getting really cold here in the north east.
Plus the coilovers haven't arrived yet, don't want the SC to look like a monster truck with that wheel gap.
Welcome to the forum. My 2 cents is, if you have a really good car (like you seem to). Don't mess w it. Just drive it like you plan. The Japanese seem to have built these cars well and yours being a 2000, it probably has all the refinements it needs. Of course do all the cosmetic things you feel, to make it your own as much as possible. I have a 92 400 and thats basically what I've done and have had a lot of luck, a Lot!
You might want to check out mine here in the forum, "The Purple Bullet"
Anyway whatever you do GL you seem to have a good car
Absolutely love the wheel choice - that's a stellar car. Barbary is right - with a beautiful SC400 I'd do the same - wheels, coils, and a nice exhaust to complete the perfect GT cruiser.
