Default JZZ30 R154 Propshaft

Hi all i own a 1996 jdm 2JZ GE Auto Supra,

Im converting it to run a R154 from a JZX100 Chaser and need the front section of a propshaft from a R154 JZZ30 Soarer.

Now my non turbo auto supras propshaft has the right amount of splines for the JZX100 R154 but is too short. And the JZZ30 R154 front prop is the perfect length.

Does anyone have the dimensions/ length for the front prop section of a JZZ30 R154 so i can have my supra one extended and balanced.

Thanks

^^ This is *exactly* the route that should be taken today. You've already discovered that the NA auto d/s splines will fit but that it is FAR too short. As in so short that if you were to boost the engine the shock of torque could damage the exposed splines a bit... and so short as in if you attempt to drive the car with that unmodified driveshaft you will have Redline MT-90 pouring out the back of the transmission all over your undercarriage.

The SC300 Auto and MKIV NA Auto driveshafts both look extremely similar to the factory JZZ30 Soarer R154 front driveshaft other than the length difference. The approximate length to extend it to fit correctly is 50mm (approx.) aka 1.96". No longer. That will bring it right up to the exact length of the original factory Soarer R154 front driveshaft.

Your Chaser-spec R154 should also use the same transmission mount bolt pattern as the MKIV W58 transmission mount and it should also come with a factory 3-wire VSS sensor built in.

Get yourself a Yellr Yellowbox V5 and their by-special-request plug-and-play SC300/MKIV wiring harness for it if you will need speedo reading correction.

Install instructions are here (applicable to the SC/Soarer/MKIV, just swap LHD for RHD):

Hi and thanks for that info, just what i needed
With the transmission mount i used the soarer r154 mount as the supras w58 has a lip that fouls the r154 and needs grinding off. The soarers mount is identical to supra w58 but does not have the lip that needs griding off. And i used the non turbo supra crossmember. I did try to contact yellr but they took so many months to reply by the time they did i picked the dakota digital bluetooth model to use.

Thanks
