Yeah, but only the 92-95 models have that nifty, ultra-compact single-button remote built into the head of the key. The newer ones are quite a bit more bulky (although you get additional features, like audible signal, car finder, trunk release and "panic mode"). I don't like unsightly bulges in my pants, so I'm glad I got one of the early ones.

For details on other SC changes from year to year, see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=53425

I have a question. Is the small button that unlocks the door from the key also supposed to turn on the interior lights? Mine doesn't, but turns off the lights when you lock the car.

Mine works the very same way, but you're right, it woulda been nice if the light came on.

Oh well, at least the light dims gradually when you lock it.

Default You're welcome, White!

...and might I add that I am very disappointed that no one has yet made a cheap joke about my "unsightly bulge" remark.
Get with the program, guys!

Uhhh, my SC doesn't have a keyless entry!

Using my VIN at the dealer, they stated that I could not have a keyless key made as my car does not have that option.

They could be idiots, too BTW.

"They could be idiots" They're idiots

Your cas has the keyless function. The last owner either broke it or lost the key and had a spare made without the button which cost much less than the one with the button ~$200 I believed. If you want to have the button with the key, you need to also buy a new remote module which located behind the rear seat on the right hand side. I don't remember the cost for the key with remote button cost or the mudule cost. With that kind of work and cost for the new module, keys the cost of after market alarm with remote start cost much less...
