Default headgasket options

well im getting ready for the turbo setup and i want to lower my compression for safety by way of a thicker headgasket. i want to get a 2.0 mm. but theres two different sizes. there:
83 * 2.0mm or 85 * 2.0 mm . They are both for non-turbo supras. but im pretty sure they will still fit. I just need to know what size, 83, or 85, do i need. Thanks for the help, as always.

The 2jz is a 86mm bore. Are you sure you got the correct part numbers?

Nice crystal ball

Yah, I still have an HKS 1.6mm headgasket for sale ... no rush to sell I suppose, lol, I have had this sitting here for almost a year now Since I got an extra motor now, I don't NEED to sell it, because if I blow my car up ever, then I have about ZERO downtime, but if someone wants it, I am not going to hesitate to sell it and have a few bucks in my hand instead of a headgasket going to waste.

cool. the two people i admire most both responded. Dave im getting my engine ready for your setup. anyways:

dave, yea im almost positive i read it right, ill double check just to make sure and post the link up. it was for a greddy. also, dave and angel, is the 1.6 strong enough to hold the pressure and lower the compression enough to be able to run the turbo on my engine safely? Thanks for any info guys.

The 1.6mm is PLENTY thick enough to lower your compression considerably. A lot of people run the 1.3mm headgasket from the Supra TT and experience no problems at all. Good luck with your project.

I put a 2mm Greddy/ Grex headgasket in mine. I ordered it from http://www.i-m-racing.com/gredmetheadg1.html It costs $269 but takes a little time for delivery so order it a few weeks before you start the project! My car is running great with it. ...still waiting for kean to finish with my frontmount!
