What’s up guys so I had an old build thread on here of my Baltic blue 300 that I had to get rid of unfortunately. Anyway I found another sc300 a shell for 300$ had a dent in the right rear but I wasn’t to concerned because of how clean the rest was and I planned a drift build on my next one. after helping 2 buddies finish their rb20 240s it was time I started on my build. so talked to the guy found a transport and got here towed from Arizona to Vegas.
so it was a spontaneous buy so as I wait to accumulate funds after the Hollidays
I started tearing in stripping all unnecessary stuff from the bay.
Abs Delete I’ll be working on this week my plan as of right now is instead of buying stainless braided lines or having them built I’m goin to buy a few new hardlines and do the delete with hardlines one straight out the master into the line for the rears then T the front 2 brake lines and run them into the master.
after I do the abs delete I plan on stripping the factory harness to the fuse box and running it on top of the fender apron and I’m thinking of relocating the fuse box itself the area behind the high beams keep the clean look with minimal wiring extension still looking into the passenger side harness
i have a spare rack I plan to get sent out for rebuild and put solid rack bushings in
I will be removing the suspension and modding the knuckle still looking into if this is common on SC like s chassis possibly ordering bells lower arms and I’m going to my cousins house who’s an off road fabricator and look into fabricating a front set of a arms with camber adjustment as they look extremely simply just pivots two notched pieces of tube and a threaded Heim bung so we will see how that goes and what other mode I plan to do also included a pic of my old sc. I plan to recreate the hood I built that was a big reason for getting another sc

Well I spent hours last night stripping bending moving and relocating aswell as cursing at the fuse box and all the wires to try and get it where I wanted to try it out in the high beam area still not sure if I’m gonna go this route or go though the hassle of locating it in the trunk or behind the passenger airbag.
ordered a set of solid rack bushing and spacers today and that’s about all the parts I can order till after the holidays so I’ll be working on things that are essentially free
this week im gonna be cleaning shaving and stitch welding the engine bay probably deciding what interior pieces I want to keep and pondering the idea of splitting my headlights delining the lenses and removing the chrome overlay In the housings
and heading to ththe junkyard today to find a scrap harness to cut sections from to extend wires and still match factory coloring. Maybe scope out a set of ls400 front brakes
Well I worked on a few more things today
I routed everything for the wire harness on the driver side about how I wanted it I will be making small reliefs in the fender apron to run the wires up and above without worry of a sharp edge tearing into the harness over time. I stripped the ABS and Trac relay box out of the harness I don’t see this causing issues but I sure hope not I have seen abs deletes cause some issues in some cars but anyway I went to my local yard and found a torn up sc and shipped the section of harness in the wheel well so I can extend all the wires and still match factory colors and wire sizes
i got my knuckles out I’ll be taking then to work and shortening the tie rod pick up point 1”-1.5” depending on how everything measures out. I will be making a jig so by the end of the week it should be worked out and I can start modding knuckles for anyone that wants them 150$ you supply shipping both ways. I prefer you to have the hubs and bearings pulled or I can mod them with the hubs it but I will not assume any liability on any issues with the bearings I can have them pressed out and back in by a local shop that will alter turn around times and that cost will be extra but I will provide receipts for this work if you wish to go that route
With pulling the knuckles I pulled the upper arms today and next weekend will be getting a game plan on building a jig for adjustable upper arms so watch for those
so this week I’ll be working on extending the plugs to the inside of the car and looming all the wiring I need to get ahold of a brake line kit to build the new hard lines for the ABS delete
side note my plan with this car long term is to eventually put a nice 1j or 2jge-nat in but finding non vvti ones right now is getting hard so yo get the car on the road I’m thinking out pulling a whole unit trans engine mounts ecu and harness of a 1uz from a sc400 and drop it in to get out and slide around with friends and pretty much just get it moving and out of the garage so I took pics of the body plugs at the local yard it looks as if it’ll plug right in so I will be testing and verifying this since all I can find “but an sc400 and sell the 300” blah blah if the engine doesn’t seem to work out this way then I’ll take the engine harness and split the loom make it a standalone loom and wiring it to a switch panel but I do want factory cluster to work. On that note with me stripping out the ABS units will that disable the speedo or is it ran through the transmission?

i definitely don’t doubt it I got buddies with 1uz swaps but in a chassis so a little lighter probably easier to manage then the big heavy SC but we shall see I just got half my jig built to modify my knuckles so I’ll post pics later today of the results
And this is max angle with only a knuckle mod no other suspension mods right now we’re maxing out with the stock wheels hitting the upper control arm mounts and short followed my the calipers hitting the strut mount on the lower arm will update with future mods
Well update I was gonna get a getrag 5 speed from a bmw but guy never answered now I’m looking at a full 1uz pull out of an ls400 I’ll need a different oil pan I’m assuming and I found a little mixed info on putting the ls400 trans in an SC but I’ll look more into it might just buy it all dump the trans and pans for cash until I find a manual
anywayyyy I started extending my harness now that I got my wiring ran the way I want it using a length of factory wire made things a lot less of a pita
Got a little more to finish up tomorrow
So now I need to build some kind of mount for the fuse box and loom it all
sent my headlight home with a buddy today to have him split them so I can knock down the lines and make them a set of clear lenses and possibly tinker with the idea of building some headlights I have wanted to for awhile
This week I’m gonna try and work on getting the ABS delete finished up I wanna get the seats out of the car to get some interior stuff done and adore but my garage it jam packed
Finished all the extending of wires and except what looks like the main power plug to the driver foot wel cause I’m going to de pin those and run a whole new solid length of wire I don’t like the idea of soldering a big gauge of wire like that
Wanted to clean up that ugly area where the battery acid ate the paint so I picked up a can of champagne pearl rattle can from vato zone which matched the shade pretty good but was metallic so I misted the rest of the bay to give it a little bit of that flake look all over
Wel I had a buddy split my headlights to clean them up decided I’m gonna take a crack at de lining them. decided to also do a couple mods demon eyes and angle eyes 20$ Amazon special not bad still waiting on the angel eyes but we will see how they hold up
I’m still torn between keeping the chrome or stripping to black 🧐🤔
ordered some new rack bushings aswell and probably not much else till after the new year but I do have to get everything done on the passenger side like reroute that harness the goes over the strut tower get the engine harness and ecu out get the passenger and driver seats out some other misc stuff and finish the brake lines I keep avoiding this part 😬
Looks good so far. I have never looked into doing this. Would be fun to get some spare headlights to mess around with.
it’s not to hard the demon eyes are just led strips or pods you place behind the projector lens in the housing just takes a little finess angle eyes apparently 80mm halos can be sinched between the projector and the bezel that holds it and it works perfect I’ll update when I get that
Got a little bit done today got all my wiring cleaned up and loomed made a mount for the fuse box need to add one more bracket to make it just a tad more sturdy for my security everything got inside all I need to do now is run a main power into the box from wherever I mount the battery
got the ecu and wire harness out for sale 93 auto 2jz Cali emissions ecu and harness
have a line a a heap running sc400 I’m trying to work out a few to get it and take the swap and sell everything else and hopefully break even or make a profit and get a free doner swap
Checked out the donor car car today and it seems like a go dude smacked a curb pretty car and the interior has seen it’s better days but when he started it she fired up with no hesitation and didn’t skip ram ******* I lowballed the dude for 400 and we’ll be picking it up in the morning dropping it off at a buddies and get her ready to take the swap out an prep it for my chassis
my rack bushings have shipped so I wanna get those in before the swap for obvious reasons as well as finish the abs delete anyway will update with some pics of the donor tomorrow and a list of parts for sale of someone wants or needs
We’ll picked up donor car today we’ll what was supposed to be a donor car running pretty good for 400$ driver rear suspension is buckled from hitting a curb my friends have convinced me to take my suspension off and replace it and make the car a beater missile and pull the swap when I’m closer to having my main chassis ready so I guess I purchased 2 scs in the last 2 month for less then 1000$
got a bunch of extra parts a spare sun roof a spare transmission a factory wing and a full factory wing trunk bumper and some other misc stuff
