IT'S ALIVE!!!!! PURRS N IDLES LIKE A CHAMP!! I know which 1 was the starting culprit but wonder what the other caps fixed. Twas either this 220 or 100 ųf. Most likely the 220
NICE!!! You solved it, gnuproject! I'm glad to hear it was that simple. The other capacitors may have been tired as well but not at the same rate as the one that was causing your main issue. Replacing all the old electrolytic capacitors with new factory correct units usually fixes issues like these especially if none of them have leaked. Very happy for your result!!
And thank you for the Halloween wishes! I hope you had a good weekend yourself, apart from this labor intensive repair you did for your SC
Funny part is that i tested both igt2 n 4 before starting and it didnt read voltage. I almost didnt try to start it thinking it wouldnt fire. Im actually helping someone with their caps today, but they are getting misfire at 4k. Hope it fixes it. Ill take pics of his board and posted it on here just to give two examples for someone in the future.
Thanks again Kahn, hope your build gets finished soon!
You're welcome! That's excellent detective work you did! I hope you can also help your friend get their ECU fixed soon as well! Yes to posting another example-- documentation always helps our community!
And thank you! It's been drive-able and running strong for a while now. I just need to set aside time to finish the last little tweaks and replace those old twin turbos with the new ones I have on standby. Driving only on turbo #1 for this long I'm ready to experience full boost, lol.
